Hey guys, a mate of mine is running an open day for students and fresh graduates at Microsoft. he asked me to spread the word and i know there's a number of guys on here that are in IT or still at uni.

Details below.

Hi guys - I know this is not a car related event but I know that there are lots of ppl on here that might be interested in attending the Microsoft Student day this Friday 22nd Aug 08.

Info for the event as follows:

What is this about?

The Microsoft Academy for College Hires is hosting a Student Day at Microsoft’s Australian HQ at 1 Epping Rd, North Ryde.

Who is organising this?

The Microsoft Academy for College Hires (MACH) is a group of recent graduates working at Microsoft and taking part in an accelerated career program. Note: This is not an assessment centre, job interview or selection process. You can leave your resumes at home.

So why are you doing this?

As recent graduates from a wide range of university disciplines ourselves, we know what it is like at this time of year. When we were at uni, we wished that we could take some time out during Study break to remind ourselves why we were studying so hard and what people would actually pay us for at the end of our degrees. Now we’re working in diverse roles in IT, Sales, HR, Finance, Marketing, Legal and Corporate Affairs

So it’s our chance to show you what it is like working for a technology company that measures it’s customers in hundreds of millions!

What will you get out of it?

• Chats with recent graduates working at Microsoft

• An understanding of where your degree might take you in the future

• A tour of the Microsoft Office (the building, not the software)

• Snacks and big screen Xbox gaming

Time and Place Date: Friday, August 22, 2008

Time: 1:30pm - 5:00pm

City/Town: North Ryde, Sydney, Australia
