so my engine bay is full of dirt and oil and other manky bits and pieces. can i simply spray it down with a pressure washer without short circuiting anything?

i know this is dumb but ive thought way to hard about it and know im just unsure.

No! Coil packs don't like been wet, there's info in one of the threads about this or the above mentioned detailing forum.

with mine and my mates, we just covered the pod. Got some degreaser and wipe on with a rag. After that we got the pressure washer and sprayed down everything. (just dont go spraying electrical components for ages)

Car started first time no worries.

Coils, igniter and afm are the only things that really don't like water. Last time I had my engine out (which meant no coils, igniter or afm still in the bay) I just kaned everything with degreaser then blasted the fk out of everything with the high pressure hose. No dramas. Oh, and my engine crossmember is actually a whitish colour :(
