Hi guys just a quick one i have some warn pads on my car and the other day i got the rotors machined and as i am waiting for my new pads to come from japan which will take about 2 weeks i continued using the the old pads till the other ones come in

Does this meen i will need to machine them again before putting the new ones on or?

it is better to run in new or newly machined discs on old pads (unless they are really stuffed).

Really? I've always been led to believe otherwise. Then again I'm sure the world was flat before. Why use old pads, to clean the rotor quicker? Surely the advantages of a quicker beding in process would be offset by the slight uneven wear from the last pads and the issue of having to touch the braking system twice.

No real issue with what the OP is doing, I just don't see it as being better then replacing rotors and pads at the same time.
