Hi ppl.

Before i start, yes i have search....

There are so many tuners in Perth. I was just wondering who is the best in Perth???

Some says this guy, another says that guy, another one says its him etc etc.

I am not sure which one to go to????

as most of you know that the tune will be as good as the tuner.

so since I am going to tune the power fc why not get the best?

can anyone help me out??

thanks in advance!!! :)

Even here you will get guys say this guy or that guy.

Try the consolidated workshop thread and ring a few tuning companies....go with who you feel comfortable with.

Tenagah

Xspeed

Allstart Garage

TopRacing

West Racing

Hyperdrive

Cypher

Just to name a few that will be mentioned if this thread doesnt get closed in the next hour or so :)

thanks brad,

hmm i know this thread sucks....

or should i ask the tuner whhat mods he is more comfortable at tuning??

is this a better idea?

I would call them or drop in and see them. Let them know what the car is and what it has etc and see if you find someone who seems very knowledgeable and that you are comfortable with.

Ant at Xspeed is probably the "best" around but you may be able to find someone closer to home.

Good Luck

coz a twin to4z 900hp GTR makes him the best?

i think there are many capable tuners around (not that ant is bad but he isnt the only one)

i think just go with who your comfortable with, certain tuners prefer certain ECUs

then again power FC is loved by all

antilag forums have a huge thread about tuners in perth

might wanna pop over n check it out

Where hasnt your car been

wtf?

just to point out my car has only been tune by 2 workshops; hyperdrive and allstar. And the reason it change was because at the time hyperdrive didn't have a tuner and was using Shaun @ Allstar to do their tuning.

so yeah i can really see how my car has been to every workshop in perth

Sorry instead of saying Ant is the best, maybe i should have said he is the preffered tuner for the big builds.

depends how long u want to go without your car as well

last time i used xspeed they had trouble just trying to do a minor service in 1 day

Yeah they get very busy at time. Last time i spoke to them they were just on a month booked in advance.....best to keep that in mind to.

Most workshops tune power fc's often so unless your car is on the edge race car all tuners should be able to do a suitable job with the application and its mods. Be prepared to pay though, all places are around $140-$160 per hour and expect 2-5 hours for a tune.

    • Yes...but look at the numbers. There is a tiny tiny fraction of the number of Joules available, compared to what is used/needed. Just because things are "possible" doesn't make them meaningful.
    • Thanks for taking the time to post that ! If anything changes or happens please do update us.
    • Somehow Vertimass/Oak Ridge National Labs has figured out a catalyst that can convert ethanol into C9-C10 hydrocarbons in basically a single step without ending up with a bunch of ethylene or similar waste products: https://patents.google.com/patent/WO2023224867A1/en I still don't think anything like this will keep us from needing to transition to EVs regardless along with all kinds of other electrification, but things like this will go a long way towards alleviating the problem of how to electrify things like planes. Renewable diesel is seemingly an easier problem as well, Chevron is already running refineries for the stuff and the primary feedstock is tallow and other waste fats from agriculture.
    • Ok so I have sorted everything with my uniclutch and  i can offer up a bit of feedback and some things that might help others.    I found problems with factory damper line. Weird shit and had trouble with peddle adjustment    I used this https://au.gktech.com/products/r33-gts-t-skyline-braided-clutch-line?_pos=2&_sid=22b01b9b9&_ss=r Also when adjusting peddle leave a bit of play. You can get into a over stroke condition easy.. Make sure you can push the slave forward after adjusting to confirm fluid can return to master then you will need to pump it up heaps…..not sure why but that’s how it is.    last thing the splined adapter is machined perfectly. If your input shaft is old like mine was I would put a bit of valve grinding paste on it and stroke it like a 15 year old. Just to give it a tad more clearance and to better match it to the spline.    reason is on a near flat shift I have had situation where the peddle returns a millisecond after you lift from the clutch. No slip or anything but I reckon this is due to tolerance on the spline being way tighter than stock clutch and binding for a sec. I think this will go away but also my spline was old. Box is old so I guess I should have checked better. It’s a super neat fit.    it feels light as and holds awesome without any noise
