4wd With Different Diameter Wheels

well basically,

i want to do skids lol

and i can get 2 16" gtst rims with tyres 4 free, and these wuld make gud skid wheels for my gts4 lol

what would happen if i ran the car in RWD (by taking out 4wd fuse) and then put different diameter (GTST) wheels on the rear? would it break any of the 4wd computers etc?

Well, you've disabled the AWD by removing the fuse.

You want to pull the fuse out without disconnecting the drive shaft? Do more searching in the forum, I assume its the same or very similar to an R33 GTR setup

On the 32's you just have to pull the fuse and the 4WD is disabled, so different to the 33GTR that you have to pull out the front drive shaft.

As long as the rolling diameter of the wheel with the tire is the same on both you will be ok.

Agreed, sorry for some reason I thought I saw *R33* in the original post, R32's will be fine the fuse is removed. And R33's you can just disconnect the front drive shaft, you don't have to remove it.

oh ok mint, so if i just remove the fuse so its running rwd it cant harm the computers in anyway like it would if i had different rolling diameter front and back as it would if the 4wd fuse was in

yep. just out of interest what are the tyre widths and profiles on the 17's, and on the 16's? they might not have a big rolling diameter difference anyway.

there is only 5 - 6mm difference in the diameter between the two sizes anyway. it probably wouldn't effect it if you left the 4WD on anyway.
