Evc Iii Boost Issue - Drop Off Boost In 3rd Gear.

Hi all,

Just installed a HKS EVCIII on my R34.

It seems to be working perfectly until 3rd gear. Then at around 3000rpm, I get a boost cut and the unit beeps twice, like it does when it hits the warning. Anyone got any ideas? I havent driven it a lot yet since I installed it, but on the test run this was the only issue I came up with. I set the high and low boost to the same 0.75 bar and the same thing happens. I cant see it being a dodgy solenoid as it holds boost and stops it going over 10psi fine in 1st and 2nd. I am thinking it might be some sort of fuel cut happening, but it doesn't happen in 1st or 2nd so that's weird. Would a FPR help though? Fuel Cut Defender? BTW I am not running a aftermarket computer (as yet) and the only other mod is a turbo back exhaust.

Check the little filter before the solenoid, if its dirty with oil it can disrupt the reading and maybe thats why its cutting out.
