You wouldn't be running 'wet filter pods' next to the afms would you?

If so, try a mate's afms with 'dry filter pods' and see if your car runs better.

Wet filter pods like K&N are very good so long as you're not running afms (as would be the case if one is using an ECU like HKS F-Con Pro-V).

If you have afms, it's best to use dry filter pods like APEXi.

Yeah running an oiled air filter was the problem with mine.

If you don't oil them up alot then they are fine but if you put to much the oil gets onto your afm's. I just cleaned mine up and they are working like new. I also made sure that the filter isn't over oiled anymore.

I might just get a dry filter though so it has no chance of happening agian, or maybe just splurge on the ARC super induction box. But they use dry filters anyway i think.

i'm actually running an apexi dry air filter. so thats not the problem. i was going through skyline forums in other countries and they found out that their turbo to manifold gasket was completely gone and that was making the car stall.

but i dont see how this will make the car stall either. when i went to change the turbo for my lancer the guy didnt tighten the bolts holding the turbo to manifold part and there was at least a 1.5cm gap. they car was running fine only thing was that i was not getting any boost.

does any1 think its a tuning problem?
