R34 Gtt Stock Turbo

Hi to all,

Recently purchased an 98 model R34 GTT, which is prerry much stock standard, apart from an Apexi turbo timer.

I was driving from melb to adelaide, i was slowing down to pull into to the servo when i noticed the engine control light come on and then when i accelerated it went off. This kept on happenin all the way to adelaide (i.e. when i slowed down from 100 to 80km/h, it would come on then go off).

Then after pumping fuel, i noticed that the tubo boost gauge was not moving at all, but i could still here the turbo spool.

I stopped the car for 10 mins, then when i started again the boost gauge was working, but after 5 mins of driving it stopped again.

Anyone who could help on what the problem might be and what i could do about it?

the stock guage is known to just drop off stop working. get urself a aftermarket mechanical boost guage....as for engine light not sure....

Mine does that too, tempramental confounded thing. Any easy fix for this other than getting a new gauge?
