Bags are for groceries :P

Always had shit static... considered a cup kit but meh id rather spend 4k on a jz halfcut for the 14

Got a commonwhore for dailying and station duties. This is just for everything else and wouldnt want to ruin it with sloppy bags... nothing worse than seeing some mexican thing jacked up driving along.

We try.. lol. Most of those cars are faaaast apart from a few of us P platers. See my mates red v35 in the middle with GTR front? he just spent 20k on that paint and body kit.. too much money

miners have too much money.. they should give me some of it

Congrats on the purchase Tony, they are indeed a great looking car and rare for that matter. De badging is a great idea, i get people snapping necks to look at the front grille.. then realise it's emblemless haha.

I notice you have one of those underbody reverse lights is it?

Thanks mate. The car is actully more well travelled than I am, this was imported from Japan to Britan to Australia where i am the first registered owner. This is why I had the underbody fog lights cause the Brits have such horrible weather. Thankfully it was easy enough to remove as it looked like a big red pimple on it's arse, although now my high mount stop light is now not actually connected at all :whistling:

Actually, how are other peoples front number plates attached to their cars? Mine had a massive plastic section for the brit plates, and now the current plate does not hid the old srew holes as seen in the front pic here. Any thoughts on how to fix this? Can I get another plastic section to attach the plate, or is cutting them off my only option?

Yeah good question it's the same sort of thing at the back with the two hanging hooks don't suit Australian no. Plates. I never bothered to take them off - a few people told me to remove them and just bolt the plates to the bar.. But I worried about scratching the bar. Also removing the back rack the plates mount on would leave a big hole. Really interested what people have used for this. I was contemplating shopping around this week for something.

nice, that's a good upgrade. Wrong badge though.

The Jap owner put Infiniti badges on it for some reason. Everything inside says nissan, engine says PV36 ^_^

Just trying to find a different grill that will fit it, having trouble finding parts for a 2008. Lots of confusion online over it being the same as a G35 or a G37. Hoping to find a new grill & sports lip, plus I need to find somewhere to tint the tail lights. Anybody know where to go? I've seen pre cut tint on eBay but haven't tried it.

Loving it at the moment, but noticing it chugging every now and then, maybe from a tank of BP 95? I can't hear the engine from inside the car so I don't notice the gear change as much as I did in the R33, the chug has a similar feel to changing gears (auto) but over & over quickly. Drove it from Syd to Adel so maybe it needs a service.

The all jap computer is a little annoying, english manuals have helped but I wish I could disable Navi all together, esp seeing as I can't replace the cdplayer/navi without stuffing everything up. Been experimenting with a 7" Android tab and a Galaxy S3 as carputer replacement. To many adapters & wires though, I need a old Galaxy Tab P1000 as that has RCA out. Newer android's use MHL, so have to go micro usb > hdmi > rca.

Have HEAPS of Galaxy S3's lying about in pieces though, so trying to slave touch from the default screen but haven't had any luck. I think i'd have more luck with a specific tab as screen with a i/o that'l work.

Missing the R33 turbo as well, luckily it hasn't sold yet so I still drive it sometimes ;)

    • Gents, it will be getting the MX5 Mania kit and the 2.5 will be staying where it is My query was about the 0.64 or the 0.86, whilst the 0.64 might spool a bit faster, would the 0.86 be better IRT EGT and mechanical sympathy, with only a small difference in spool And as I assume I won't need alot of boost to get to 200kw, probably around 10 psi, and with max rpm at 6500, would high EGT even really be a issue with a 0.64 I'm heading into MX5 Mania at the end of Jan to discuss the install, so any info is welcome prior to that Basically have a chat and book a time so they can throw on the turbo kit, and fit a oil cooler with a thermostat, drive in drive out of course  In other news: just finished cleaning the car inside and out, it's now all ready to get covered in bugs and dirt driving to Goulburn tomorrow to lunch,  and go for a stroll along woolondilly River with the daughter and her boy, and of course, visit my grandcats and my new grandpuppy
    • Sounds like it has an actual problem with mode select doors, or something.
    • Hope your all having a mean Xmas! If anyone happens to know any trick to using the insanely complex climate control system, I cannot get it to not be on dual zone no matter how many times I deselect it (will say it's not but both vents blow different temps). Also one side is always hot, one always cold 🤷
