Get it compression tested

that would be one way of find out a few problems

when i had mine compression tested i got told it was 175 all across the board give and take 2

check the turbo for shaft play

check for any visual damages

thats all i can tell ya mate....sorry if i wasnt much of a help

Good conversion my friend...if you need any help with it dont be affraid to ask....owned the first 31 in sa with a rb25det in it for around 5 years....best conversion for the 31.

as for rb25det's, not too much can go wrong with them, hard to tell if anything major is wrong with it if its just sitting there... If you can hear it running thats good. Ringlands are only a problem with detonation and bad tunes as mentioned above.

yeah good point Ryan, generally they are tough as motors, just let down by mistreatment.

the funny thing with mine was it started/idled fine, could handle full loading in 1st and 2nd fine, but in 3rd and 4th under full load would create huge smoke clouds and fill a catch can up with ease :rofl:
