I have been told that Apexi PFC doesn't work with auto Skyline.

But than again I read in another tread that this guy had it in his auto Skyline as well and was working fine.

How did you get the Apexi PFC to communicate with the auto ecu?

If it does work, does that also mean the HKS F-con should work to than?? VERY INTERESTING.

I purchased my PFC off of the NZ skyline forum (prior to this forum starting up i think)

I just plugged it in and it worked straight away. (I had it tuned a few months later)

I have heard others say that the PFC will not work on autos but mine has given no problem. Someone did suggest that this could be because it is a series I R33.

craz0, I spoke to the guy that installed the Wolf3D in the auto R33 GTS-t Skyline. He said it was very simple. He simply used the plug'n'play Wolf for the Skyline, then made sure that the TPS and tacho signal's were still routed to the auto ECU and it all works great.

Hope that helps.

If they can do that with the Wolf3D, why can't they do the same with the Apexi and the HKS.

Thanks too Gtst, at least now I know there is anothe ECU out there that can take the auto ecu as well.

Now sorry to whore your tread craz0, but with the extra power etc. Will you also need something to make the auto last? Like a bigger transmission cooler or strenghen the auto?

If the standard trans isnt strong enough I believe a Nissan Patrol box can be installed with very few mods. The benifit I believe is a thicker input shaft and splines. A good place for information about this is SA Race Transmissions and Differentials at Modbury North (SA).
