R33 Drivers Window Issue

Basically my R33 Series 2 Driver Window was makign a clunking noise when going down.

The next day i took door panel off and to my amazement I found this device getting in the way of window which was causing all the hassle.

I have no idea what it is but it had 2 wires disconnected without any electrical tape wrapped around them.

Can anyone tell me what it is?

it looks fairly shagged what ever it is! most likely central locking or alarm related..cant see what else u would have in a door

It was part of the powerwindow control box which came with my alarm package (window winders)
