and Ash has mentioned acsplit as another contact. I have a feeling acsplit is west side though, and i'm bayside, so prob not going to work.

I've gone to Ash's alarm guy before, great guy, but it's a hike to get out there and would prefer local or someone who is mobile

I have frequented the westside for workshops and people.

I have had Shammy's rebuild and alternator for me and service was good .

andrew, you don't really do mobile type stuff do you?? (i'm bayside way)

problem? i "think" there is a bigger than normal current draw somewhere, that and i need someone to chop off the old positive battery terminal clamp and attach a new bigger one to fit the Optima's terminals. Managed to get the negative one done, but don't know what to do with the positive, and it really was a stop gap measure, would like to get it done properly. At the moment, the positive terminal clamp has just been stretched waaay open to fit around the terminal, prob quite dodge, but contact seems good.

also want to check current draw when alarm is on... that drains the battery at a silly rate. That might be a special trip to Ash's alarm guy (ben?) who's helped before but i thought i might at least be able to diagnose and perhaps get everything done in one hit with an auto elec.

Ben (alarm dude) can diagnose and fix, he's more than 'just' a alarm installer

He's wired a few things for me over the years, so if you wanna head to him again then he'll help you out for sure. better pricing than any Autoelec would be id imagine

When i went to an optima battery i found that the battery clamp had been closed right up, just had to spread it apart a little and it fitted perfectly over the terminal.
