Knock Sensor Going Crazy At Low Revs!

Hi,

My knock sensor has always been sweet. Some times in 5th at a lower speed it might climb high if I tried to speed up due to the stress on the engine. Lately it's been going nuts. Like i'll be sitting in 4th and 60 and go to speed up and it goes nuts. like 60s 70s even 100+. Oh by the it's a PFC. There is no knock at high revs just down low.

Can anyone offer me some advice.

Iv'e done a full service a few weeks ago accept plugs.

There could also be the possibility of the Caltex Vortex fuel I put in.

Noisy lifters? Noisy injectors? Not just pinking, anything that causes a vibration through the block.

Just had a look under the hood this morning and noticed one the belts is a bit frayed. I'm thinking this could be the issue.

All good now. I think it was a bad batch of fuel. I re-tuned it an now it's all good. Apparently a lot of knock sensors will give a reading when you try power out from low revs. i.e Accelerating whilst in 5th at 60kmh. The engine is put on a lot of strain to gather revs.
