I for one adore skylines even though i dont have one, and i definetly know you guys too but what i've been noticing lately is a bit disturbing and sometimes discourages me from getting one.....they are everywhere!!! Woodville & Parra RD garenteed to see at least 10. In a way its good but then again it kills me!

I gotta agree here.

I was here when SAU started and it was quiet. I was lucky if I saw an r33 once a week.

Now SAU is very very busy and I see an r33 once at day. AT LEAST :)

But in the end, so what? When you drive you heavily habibified Skyline do you care???

Does it lessen your enjoyment?

Are you happy now that a Skyline headlight is not $900 like it was a while ago?

I don't think driving any other sort of car would have the same level of support and community as the Skyline.

T.

ahhh yes society follows the lead , i remember a time when you would say skyline and ppl would say " hell no!and or is that an import!? " but now even kids in high school are getting them as 1st cars

point SKYLINEGTR, but i also like what tonygts said. Guess it does benefit us anyway. I'm in high skool and my mate has an R32 GTS. Love catchin a lift off him :D Then again he doesn't care if there are alot of skylines around, he just wants an R32 GTR eventually and hes happy.

I have a skyline GTST. love it, I don't care if I roll up to a cruise and there are 4 more line mine there, cause we mod differently and am happy just to talk to them about there cars and how they go. I went to a bathurst cruise not long ago and i saw 10 or more R33's, I was the only R32 there full stop!. loved it, so obviously some models are more popular than others. They are great cars and like Tony said, there is a great community of skyline lovers around australia.

so who cares if there more common then a commodore, I spoke to a guy who had an R33 there the other night, he said he sold his VS SS commodore to get it, so it just proves how much more Popular they are.

not selling my skyline for anything short of a GTR ;):D

would any of you like to own a v8 one day or a rotary? i mean, you've done the turbo thing and yeah it's great but there's a different feeling driving an 8 vs a rotary vs a turbo. you never know until you try it and having tried 2 out of 3 i'd have to say they both have their advantages. now, who wants to lend me a rotary that runs?

I think that if you are looking out for skylines, then you will tend to notice lots of skylines......

Just like Bogans would tend to notice HSVs more on the streets......its just a matter of perspective

Statistics would indicate more HSVs and WRXs on the streets of sydney compared to Skylines, but I know which I would rather be driving

Very true about the perspective thing Akira but I'd have to dissagree with you about your statistics comment. Which statistics are these and where can I see them? These days for every HSV there are 3 Skylines (and you can bet I'm not coming from a biased viewpoint). It's very obvious and it doesn't take statistics to see it. As far as performance cars are concerned Skylines are outnumbering every other car. Not that it's a bad thing. At least parts are getting cheaper therefore insurance will drop and more choices when buying one etc etc.

I'd like to try a MY00 WRX just for the 4wd ability. I like the look, sound and shape of WRX's and they are in my price range (which an R33 GTR is not).

I think a decent powered v8 would scare the shit out of me with the instant power. I'd spend more time on the footpath then on the road haha.
