My blood boils when I see threads like this.

My friend spoke to an exhaust fitter the other day, he recommended getting a WRX because there are way more R33's then WRX's around.............

Bottom line is: IF YOU WANT A UNIQUE CAR GO BUY A FERRARI. DONT COME ON HERE TELLING US ABOUT HOW MANY SKYLINES YOU SEE IN A DAY.

Two40: I think you need some thicker glasses if you think there are 3 times as many R33's to HSV's. Ohh and I have owned a V8......won't go back in a hurry and I won't be buying some 70's heap that will brake down any spare chance it gets.

My next car will be 6 wheel drive coupled to 2 V8 quad cam/quad turbocharged supercharged air/air/water intercooled fitted to the latest 8 speed straight cut gearbox fitted with 2 LSD ten plated clutch with a .00000001kg flywheel with 30inch fully sik rims and the aerodynamic package of the Williams FW25 with michelin tyres and a supershort wheel base that makes the mini look like a limo! :)

Seriously, I'm going back to basics with the next car. I want to learn control of the car (hint: must have excellent chassis). Not just mash the pedal to the floor.

just my observation. no need to get worked up over it.

tosh, you and me both. as homer would say... hgrrrrrr

silver, i'll have one of those but make mine with a softer clutch. bit of a pain driving it every day.:)

seriously now, are you guys like against newbies comming here and asking questions? Dam sorry if i upsetted you 2fardown, how about you get over yourself.

I'm 18, a young skyline fan that plans on getting one someday. so whats the big deal if I'm askin some "mature", experienced skyline owners some newbie questions?

Staunch,,,,It's all cool buddy,,,you sturred the pot and got a great

reaction.

33's are by far the most common,,,but then again they are the best looking. 32's look dated and 34's only look good in Yellow and Blue. Sorry but Black is just a priick of a colour.

Some might think Skylines are getting more common by the day,,,but the fact remains You can't buy a better performance car for such a small outlay.

don't sweat. you've started a valid and very good topic. some people are bound to get worked up.

good point neil. the value for money was what drew me towards skylines. now if only the insurance would come down by 50%.

i still remember when i got my skyline exactly 3 years ago. they were so rare that when i used to rolled in the city people used to turn around again and again just to see it.

often the reactions "oh my god!!" just came up from no where which made me so proud that i made the right decision buying her.

once and ill never forget on Oxford street i was stuck at a crossing, a group of mid 20's young men just stood there in front the car not letting me go just to appreciate it.

its a shame they are defined as "HOON CARS" these days.

but ill take another or two skylines any day.

ron

R34 GT-R's are still rare, think ive only ever seen 2 on the road, thats after being a skyline enthusiast for about a year or so. Both of them were in the city, 1 in chinatown and 1 on parramatta road. i often see GT-T's tho, but still pretty rare.
