Howdy Shannon,

There are 3 components that need to be changed when you do the service ....the belt, idler and i cant remember the other one (my dad was an engine builder until a few months ago when he retired , he told me, but i forgot lol)

The parts are pretty damn cheap, the biggest cost is the labour time involved ... i have been quoted about $450 - $500 from some places , and atleast twice that from other places.. it all depends on where you go as some places charge an arm and a leg "because they can" , and in the process rip young people off with high performance imports... so just be careful.

Hope this helps

Rob

Thanks for the sympathy guys. Yeah it was the idler bearing bolt that snapped. You can see where the other half is still in the block. The timing belts fine - just feathered on the inside edge.

Get someone who know what they're doing - and make sure no apprentice works on ya car :)
