Some grinder work , hard to reach bracket under the firewall, couldn't remove it all in one piece as there is other lines attached to it.

Bolts were rounded for the direct lines of the rack so just trimmed the lines to make it easier to remove it all in one hit

Stripped some of the dash and have removed the carpet, to my suprise the floor pan under the carpet looks very clean paintwork wise. Not sure if I want to put the carpet back in :thanks:

Plenty still to do

-remove sound deadening

-Tidy up engine bay wiring

-Bolt up a few suspension components

-Fit hicas bar and remove computer

etc

Hey sorry mate, might sound out of place. But whats wrong with the n1 oil pump??

6 months so far, $$$$$ spent, major withdrawals

To put it bluntly, I don't trust it. Nothing is un-breakable but the Greddy item will give me more piece of mind

comin along good bud hpoefully not to long till this monster will be up and running.

dont forget about boc gases to get dry ice for sound deading removal.

have you decided to4z or 3540 yet and are you still going 1.06 housing or .82

Pending on price really, If I can get my hands on the T04z for $1500 il get the .84 housed version. If not it will be the 35R in 1.06 form, if I go this route I'l have the luxury of being able to swap housing's back down to .82 if the 1.06 proves to be too laggy.

Thanks for all the help Dan, much appreciated ... Luckily you don't drink or id be owing you a fair few cartons

motor complete

Ended up going with an ROSS balancer...

.84 T04z on a 6 boost manifold & turbo smart pro-gate

Motor is in the car & fitted, just waiting on the new injectors (old one's had variances when tested) to arrive, fuel set-up, dump and cooler piping to be done before she gets run in.

Roughly 2 weeks before she's on the road again.

Ive been keeping an eye on this thread for a while now n finally an update; cant wait to see it back in the car n on the dyno!

all the best mate, lets hope for smooth sailing from here on.

The oil is getting dropped come Monday and a bar of boost is going in.. looking forward to it..

Still plenty to do on the car, the interior is stripped and the body needs a bit of attention.

Tomek

Far out I just read this thread think oh I am doing a similar turbo setup (2860-5's).Then didn't your plans change along the way!

Well done its a great deal of work you've put into it. I once went for a ride in a 32gtr with a to4z, it was a lot of fun! It was a lot more responsive than what I thought it would be as well (can't remember the exact specs though).

Car is somewhat back together...

Ready for the mechanic to drive to and home from work, to adjust idle, cold start and general mapping

Still a fair bit to do to the interior, rust removal... She will sit a bit lower and i'll run spacers on the wheels so they sit more flush with the guards..

I reckon she looks good for a cop.

build looks awsome dude. love the look of a freshly built motor so cool :( just a quicky though, are you still running the standard plenum?? cheers

yeah, it's a standard plenum.. Just got blasted to get the paint off.

Looks the goods Tomek. Mammoth effort- hats off. I see you're in Townsville, where you going to track it??

The only track day we have up here is on a cart track which was fun with the stock set-up, probably pointless now... We also have the mt stuart hill climb which isn't too bad so I'll probably just do that event. I've decided to keep the interior intact for these reasons and will gut it when i move down south for work.

Thanks for the comments

As you can see the boost has been kept at the lower part due to the heat up here North with little timing. Even with that said the car pulls :)

When winter comes, we'll go for 24 psi and more timing.

Very expensive cardio machine.. :D
