ovrtym33
yeah pretty much on the money there stevie. As Ruby said earlier the 1st mistake was to lie to the guy. Cop can look in your car in a public place without a warrant if you give him reason to believe you're carrying contraband or a weapon or if you appear to be hiding something (hence the lie) yeah fair enough i shuoldnt have lied but the main reason he pulled me over was coz of the exhaust being 2 loud so no matter what i was gonna definetly going 2 get a defect, how long is the wait 2 get in2 regency these days??? coz i go overseas for a month in november so i wanna get it sorted before then if it aint gonna cost me shitloads......... guess im riding my pushbike 2 work 2morrow, thank god its fully carbon fibre and super light n quick Edited August 31, 2008 by ovrtym33 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/234094-defected/page/3/#findComment-4103144 Share on other sites

CRoNic...
Lock your glovebox and claim you lost the key for it! A cop once accused me of lying when he said to me my boost gauge was a "rev tacho" and I said "That's a boost gauge" and he said "You better not be lying to me". And to be honest, I got pulled over in my old 323 once which had a B6T engine conversion. The cop said "Do you have a blow-off valve under that bonnet?" and I said "No officer" and he said "Okay. Have a good night" and left... but I infact did have one but it's sprayed Black and under a heap of piping, so he wouldn't of found it. If you can lie your way out of a defect, why not? Sure, it's being dishonest and all... but if it saves you a defect, then why not? *waits for the flaming to begin* Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/234094-defected/page/3/#findComment-4103666 Share on other sites
Damo_R34
If Michael clark can nick it and claim he didnt hit it, why not stay at the crease? spose its a bit different tho. Didn't think that one thru. If you can lie your way out of a defect, why not?
