Help Please!

Hey Guys,

On any cold start my car won't turn over unless throttled. Feels like it wants to cut out.

It does turn over no problem once warm.

Its got new fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs ands leads and this was happening before these went in also.

Please would anyone have any experience with this sort of problem??

Any help would be really appreciated!

Could be a blown headgasket, water seeps into the cylinders over night, won't turn over in morning, and runs like a dog until all the water is out of the cylinders, opening the throttle helps to get the water out.

Had a somewhat similar problem, got worse and worse, until it wouldnt start at all.

Struggled bad to start when cold, but when it was warmed up it would start.

Turned out to be the CAS. Considering the ECU changes the timing depending on whether it was hot or cold it would easier/harder to start.

Ended up with the car not wanting to start anytime at all, not even jump-started. Changed the CAS and now all works fine

Is it hard to start or hard to turn over

seems fairly entry level but do you let the fuel pump prime BEFORE you hit start?

just guessing but would it maybe be the fuel regulator not holding fuel pressure in the fuel rail/lines?

I'm not sure what "CAS" is?... but is there a way to test whether it is that?
