Hey all,

My standard tacho in my 95' R33 gtst manual is playing up. IE) sometimes when i start the car, the tacho needle doesnt move at all untill i bang (quite hard) on the dash above the steering wheel and then it kind of jumps into place...

other times it works with no problem at all..

i asked on Nissansilvia.com and had NO replies, and I no you all are a great help when it comes to this sort of thing...(I have also done a search on here and didnt find anything)

is it probably just a faulty wire? if so how would I check (sorry, I'm abit of a noob and have only had my skyline for a month)

your help is greatly appreciated,

cheers guys! :(

it might just be a connection if it works when you bang it. take the console apart and inspect the connections at the rear of the dash. your gonna have to remove a fair bit of stuff but its all straight forward bolts and clips. its a good reason to get intimate with your car and know how its put together..haha. might wanna change your dash lights to cool led ones while your at it.
