Hey guys, is 90,000 kms a little high for a R34 Gtt? There's another one i'm currently looking at, seems to all be in place, but am worried about the k's, seeing as I plan to keep the car a for a good couple years. The majority seem to sell around 110,000-120,000k's on the net.

Are they reliable after 100,000 or is that when you move on?

Hiya, Welcome to SAU! And stick around!

If my daily to the left is on its way to 300000Km, I see no reason why the R34 GT-T can't do likewise.

Have all the services been done already up till now? Very important that! Receipts/logs?

So whilst the 100000Km service is coming up, and if it's a car in wonderful cond. can't you haggle the price to accommodate that big service? Provided that all of the above is kosher?

Put up pics if you get it eh?

Cheers,

Tez :D

I can get it for 21. Its got rims, exhaust, coil overs, pod. The main reason I ask is because I can get a S15 with 50,000 k's for that price, with rims and exhaust. I generally prefer the skyline but it sure is tempting.

and no, I do not want to start up the old 34 vs. 15 debate.

What year is the car?

For Example, its a 1998 model (10 year old car) with 90 000k's, which works out to be 9000k's driven per year. Divided by 12 months (1 year) = 750k's driven per month = 187.5k's driven per week.

Its probley only done 1 to 2 oil changes per year (Thats if its done a service at 5000k's).

So the car has hardly been driven, cause Iam sure we all in AUS could easily rack up atleast 250k's - 400k's per week if a car is a daily.

So I would not say its too high.

90kms is fine, 150kms is fine, too, like everyone's said, they'll go up to 300kms if you treat it right.

We've had a 98 34 GTT come in from Japan with 27,200 on the clock (with logbooks). It was an auto, which usually have less from Japan, but it does happen. We try to buy cars with around 70-80 on the clock.

More importantly, just go by the condition of the car. Get it checked out if you're not too familiar with skylines, or if the dealer seems dodgy. Or just get it checked out anyways, can't hurt, right?

there are heaps of skylines around that price for less k's.. i got mine with 51k on the clock.. and it's not a daily so it isnt really racking up the k's so you can get genuine ones..

300k :P omg i never seen a skyline with so much.. and an r34 at that

350,000 km's GTST

http://skylinesdownunder.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56559.

My R34's a daily and I clock about 300k's a week. Currently at 170,000k's still running strong as. I wouldn't even worry about the car at 100,000 k's.

As long as it's well looked after I don't see why it can last past 300,000k's like above.

Think about it... 10,000kms a year and 10 years is 100,000... and i wouldn't exactly call that heavy use either.

In Aus your gonna clock up on average what, 15-20k a year? Adds up fast.

Nothing wrong with a RB if its serviced and looked after, just like any other car on the road.
