Noise Laws

does anyone know where to find the appropriate noise legislation for passenger vehicles,

i spoke to a copper and he said to look for them at te EPA, but i tried and could find anything usefull

i'm after what the law says and how to test it

all i've got so far is that it has to be under 95dB(A)

its 90db with a 1 db leeway so it can read 91.9db as they round it down to the nearest decibel anything over and its loss of 1 point maximum $150 fine and a court apperance now as of 1st of july
