Replacing The Canon On My Exhaust System

Hi all,

I have a Xforce turbo back system on my car- it does the job and isn't that loud. I don't like the canon though- too much of a ricer look for me these days.

Would it be possible to have a muffler made up that had two smaller pipes (like the stock one but not as much like a truck exhaust muffler lol) but not lose any flow? Also, is it likely to sound any different? (not that worried about sound, more concerned with getting the most flow through the system).

I'm hoping it is as easy as going to a good exhaust place and getting one made up and fitted.

Anyone done something like this before?

it is possible, ether running the 3 inch pipe into a collector then out to two smaller, maybe 2 x 2inch pipes or something

go talk to an exhaust shop, that would be the best way to find out prices, wat options u have etc

as for sound, ill say yes it will sound different

if your in the south west area (bankstown,liverpool,cabra etc) drop past Hume Mufflers in the El Toro Estate in liverpool. the bloke in there Chris should be able to knock something up for u. hes a good bloke and has done all my exhaust mods for all me and my mates cars

i just got my rear muffler taken off at the flange and replaced with a 3" mandrel bent pipe, looks a lot better IMO and sounds a little deeper, but not a lot louder.

hey mate. ill post up a closer pic wen i get home. i dunno where this exhaust is from but cause it was on wen i bought it. all i know is that its a JASMA brand twin pipe system from catback. ill try find out more later on.

I'm hoping it is as easy as going to a good exhaust place and getting one made up and fitted.

Head to a good exhaust place, and you'll have it sorted out easily and pretty cheaply, very common to have a stock style muffler rather than a big cannon etc.

Heh, figured as much Just wanted to see if anyone that had done it had any particular advise / suggestions about where to go and what to get done.

I'll check out my local exhaust place soon and see what they can do.
