hey ppl.. i gotta r34 n last time i drove it a ''A/T'' light came on in the dash.. i checked the oil, engine etc etc n all was good.. but the light still comes up..

does any1 know wat it meanS!?? al i cud think of was auto transmission

A/T is an auto transmission problem, doesnt really narrow it down though.

got it checked out by an auto electrician...

shift SOLENOID!!!!

Hey mate.

Most of us driving the GTT Tiptronic have a problem with the AT light at one time or another.

Consensus is that this can be induced (make it happen) by long downhill backing off, or fast cornering accelleration with slip.

The back-pressure induces this condition to Solenoid B, when that solenoid has a lower than normal or failing resistance level.

Next time it happens, take note of what gear the car is locked in.

If it's locked in 3rd gear, it's the AT shift solenoids, specifically solenoid B.

Attached are the diagnostic faults for the R34 tiptronic transmission from the workshop manual.

Hope you manage to rectify this issue.
