Hi guys,

I m thinking to change a set of toyo semi R888, but not sure what size I should go for-- :D 245/40/18 or 265/35/18. The rims are 18"x9.5, car has about 240kw atw. What size suit on track more? Please give me some advices. Thanks in advance!!

Why R888's? There are better/cheaper options for GT-R's.

Anyway first things first the price difference is about $80 per tyre.

Secondly 245's are a bit smallish on a 9.5" rim.

Cos I want to have a try on the semi slick, and the bridgestone Re55s is quite expensive, R888 is a cheaper option already. The price different is about $40 per tyre between 245 n 265. cheers

Hmm, odd.

I have always found the RE55 to be cheaper than an equivalent Toyo in the larger sizes. Better too than the 888's.

The price guide I have infront of me lists 245/40R18 at $478 & the 265/35R18 at $555. It may be out of date or you may be able to getter a better price than the list.

Anyway check the build date on the tyres....

Sure, thanks mate, the build date of the toyo is 07/08. By the way, where do you get yours Re55s? Anywhere in Sydney you recommend?

Where are you getting your RE55S from? I'd agree that they are far better than the R888s, but everywhere I've called has had them around $50 more expensive per tyre for a given size.

I've been calling the major distributors in Sydney, so its possible that some of the smaller shops are doing better deals.
