Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone lives or works in the city?

Reason im asking is that i work there and park my car on the street in front of work and while im out i keep getting told that cops stop and take photos, or just walk around it looking at it.

I find this very strange as its not really modified just a HKS Super Drager Exh and Pillar Gauges that are visible.

Anyone else having the same problems????

Im Confused:eek:

I can guarantee that the police are STILL looking at every skyline they see in and around the city as the recent spate of ramraids continues. I am typing this whilst in the same room as one of the city's finest and he has just finished telling me that your car has been mentioned and is just being routinely checked as well as a bright yellow 34 outside the 7/11 on george st.

Nothing to worry about, (probably). You should enjoy the attention you are receiving (as should everyone else) as the police have got a MAJOR eye on 'line drivers at the moment.

Adrian

I was pulled over the other night out the front of Bondi Junction police station by a paddy wagon. the next second a officer runs out to my car from inside the station then another cop car comes from aroud the corner and blocks me in from the front. I had no clue what was going on. They say it was a "Random breath test" but that is BS! kept me waiting for over 15 minutes then after taking my licence details and my passenger they let me go! Total waste of my time!

Thanx for the input guys

Hey 2rismo are you a cop????

Hopefully with all the cops stopping near it, It will detterr the little shits that are Supposedly working there well thats what they told me when i asked them wtf they were doing near it.

Hey Croat,

Did they try to defect you or anything or was it just a licence check?

I don't mind getting pulled over because it will weed out anyone that trys to steal our pride and joy lol

As long as they don't defect us out of pure boredom......

Thanx

Dan

yeah, i was followed on the way home tonight, our finest pulled a big smoking u turn to follow me (nice safety boys).

I managed to get away from them among all the roundabouts up here and into my garage b4 they pulled me over for a random skyline test (RST)

never had cops take photos...

the latest fad is passengers, and sometimes drivers, taking pics using their mobile phones. i've also been video'd from behind by the passenger, even had someone pose next to my car whilst waiting at a red light.

adrian, whats this yellow 34 (GTT or GTR) outside 7/11 on George St? is that the new 7/11 down Martin Pl end or is there a 7/11 next to the Woolworths across from the Town Hall somewhere???

How many fargin' yellow Skylines are out there???

Yeah police do take notice of Skylines and Rexes. They do run plates more often than not. So people who are the slightest bit el dodge should not be driving the Skys around.

Sometimes the way the cops pull you over when you arn't breaking any rules, and then threaten you with taking your car off you, all without having reason or bothering to get out of their car to talk to you, but shouting at you instead.

It seems like the cops are taking this too far and treating skyline owners like criminals.

The polite and considerate police have nothing to worry about, but the rude and unreasonable ones will get complaints by every possible avenue available because making unjustified threats like this is plain disgusting!

I would ask the police to please treat drivers with respect regardless of whether they drive an import or not.

I will say I'm sorry for ever having a skyline to gain the cops attention, cause I certainly wasn't doing anything wrong.

Having a skyline makes us more satisfied, and we do take the time to develop a great deal of driving skill and just like to enjoy the feel of acceleration. This should not be a crime to accellerate fast while keeping under the speed limit and no loss of traction is not something we should be yelled at for!

I hope they get rid of the fixed speed cameras - they are blatant money making machines, not one iota to do with road safety! These cameras and the behaviour of police and restrictive regulations in general that are developed into law creating barriers to entry for non-established people are proof that the system is corrupt.

The police are the front line in showing the system is not corrupt. Don't forget that Australian law is supposed to be based on common sense, not having to keep making so many rules.

I feel old now.

I've seen that yellow R34 parked outside the 711 on george street a fair bit.

I also saw another yellow 34 GTT with a large dent just in front of the front door parked just outside the Spanish club (next to 3 wise monkeys) the other weekend. I wonder how he got that dent? (Anyone else see this poor car?)

George, you're a kinky b4stard!

Frankie, No its the one near Haymarket near the tram lines HAY STREET.

Everyone, id depends....sometimes they check plates, licences etc... just dont have an attitude and you should be right. not a great idea to be in the city in the small hours of the morning though. you WILL be stopped.
