haha naa all good just been chilling with a mate who just let off a fire work in his hand haha

but anyways its coming from the engine bay sounds like metal whining then stopping

Gotta love fireworks/crackers.

I actually have this problem too! that's why I first went into this thread. Totally forgot to talk about it. haha.

But sometimes I also get it when when the revs go a bit higher than idle like if I turn the climate control on. It's wierd.

I thought it was my timing belt that was too tight coz I put a new timing belt kit in even before I had started the engine the first time (I bought the car not running). But It's still doing it and I've done about 3000-4000kays.

shit u guys where right about that whinning comming from the missus " ur always on that skylines thing blah blah blah" haha

lol, i get the same thing mate dont you worry....

tell her to get a hobby!

didnt work for me but its worth a try! lol

I've been told it might be one of the cam gears or the belt itself just rubbing on the belt cover. Coz at that certain rev, obviously just b4 it stops, maybe the cam gear or belt move slightly or vibrate. Haven't tried it tho.
