headlight troubles...

hi ppl,

my passenger side headlight has decided not to work. Both high and normal beams on the passenger side don't work at all, but the drivers side is fine. If I have the headlights in the "on" position, I get the passenger side parker and the drivers side low/normal beam. I checked the bulb and its fine.. I replaced it just in case and still no luck, same with the fuses.

Does anyone have suggestions as to what might be the cause?

Has anyone ever re-wired their headlights?

u may have a cut wire somewhere . put u r lights on and use a test light to see if u have power there ( both high and low beam ) if u dont have power there try to trace the wires , if cant do that u may have to run new wires .

just a question while on the topic are both high and low beam sposed to be on when high beem is clicked on or only the highbeam lights and the normal ones turn off? if that makes sense?

I have the same problem but mine is intermittent i think it might be the switch on mine.

Flick the switch a few times you might have the same prob as me........

high and low are not meant to be on at the same time.. although u can rewire so it is ... first thing i do when something is not working is hit it ... usually that fixes it ... if that dont' fix it then something is farked

Sound familiar. My car blew a l/h headlight fuse not long after I bought it, easy fix though. When I was looking at buying it the owner told me that it had blown the l/h headlight globe a few times. Hmmmmmmmm

skylines dont have high and low beam on at same time although mine is rewired.There is iether a broken wire or blown fuse
