Im having an arguement with a parts guy at my local nissan dealer about how many autech's were built. Does any body know the exact numbers on series 1 and 2's?

I have no idea but i would imagine heaps of them. It would be like, how many customers ordered that version in any particular month of the production run spanning several years. There would have been more than enough built for the model to be recognised worldwide I should think. I would like to know how many really top nick examples are left? Not counting mine of course.

Trolled through a Japanese blog site of a 260RS owner and he stated that 1700 260RS's were produced. He seems to be a pretty serious 260RS owner, so hopefully his guess is educated. Couldnt find any official numbers and no breakdown of S1 and S2s.

i thaught it was like 500 S1's and 121 S2's

considering there is a dozen or so S2s in that linked photo, 121 would seem too small for the size of Japan. So what was the Parts Guy's guess ?

i heard along the line that 200 black s1 260s, and 170 black s2s were made... hope this can add to the confusion

The parts guys guess was more like 1700 s1's and 500ish s'2's.

So mathias you got that info from autech?

yes it was a friend of mine that has an autech to who mailed to autech in japan and asked them how many where built and also wich colors they where made in.. so this info is directly from autech japan. i don't know how many of wich color but atleast how many of S1 and S2 that where made.

I heard that there was a nismo version of the 260rs which apparently there was only 200 made. can anyone conferm this?

I had a pic as a screen saver of a beautiful yellow Nismo Stag (think it was S1) but my dam computor destroyed it. the grill was the same style as the GTIR Pulsar job. The bonnet had two lovely vents in it, i remember that much. When i went shopping with SVI, Mick Martin I was after a Nismo or Autech. Mick never ever came back with any Nismo jobs up for auction. in fact he did not even acknowledge they existed. But.......I had a screen saver once.
