urbanoperations
hey all got an R32 GTR it has an Apparent OS Giken Triple plate clutch in it, this thing has f all friction point and just grabs so i assume its some sort of aftermarket thing now the problem is its perfect when driving no problems shifting at high revs or anything like that just a few noted below sometimes i start the car up after driving for a bit and push the clutch pedal down to engage gear it will not let me select a gear have to switch the car off then select gear then hold the pedal down but even then it will lurch forward and start to move, sometimes i will rev it to like 5k try and select and it will just grind a bit and still will not select the gear.. and sometimes coming up my driveway i select first and disengage the clutch but then when i put my foot down to deselct first it will still say in gear and stall? anyone know what will cause these problems? should i adjust the master cyl pushrod? bleed the system, change the fluid? Thanks for your help Edited September 8, 2008 by urbanoperations Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/235225-r32-gtr-clutch-problem/ Share on other sites

Beer Baron
sadly, if it happens intermittently it's most likely, a damaged/bent clutch fork, or damaged bearing carrier, or worse damaged pressure plate. that is why sometimes it's fine, and sometimes the clutch wont disengage. luke james
I would try to bleed the system or adjust the rod you never know that may fix the problem and is allot easier than pulling a gear box out if not its late nights and skinned knuckles to pull the gearbox out ....luke Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/235225-r32-gtr-clutch-problem/#findComment-4160215 Share on other sites
