Hi guys, i was about to put 4k $ in parts on my 180 000 km 25det. I had the idea to take a compression test before doing it. I got these results.

125-125-125-120-125-125

It's pretty even but i'm not sure it can handle 400 rwhp for a long time...

So as a mechanic, should i do a rebuild of my motor? should i try to drop the parts in and pray?

I know that my battery is almost dead, so i guess the compression should be around 140. But still, the engine got 180 k...

If the budget let me breath, i could drop a set of forged pistons.

What do ya think?

Cheer!

^^ as per above.

Even is good, little low but that could be influenced by a few things easily enough.

If your worried, pull it apart, however with a good tune and so on it could be fine for 20k+ kms if looked after correctly, hell it might even go further :ninja:

I like this option. It would save me a bunch of money and time!

However, i'll make the test with a new battery, just to make sure. lol..
