Xenon Lights

hey guys..... ummm i have just your normal r33 s1 light on the front... but i really want that blue light coming out of them... like the BMW's and that have... i went to supercheap to buy the globes and yes they didnt fit... i was just wondering can anyone tell me how to go about getting these xenon blue light without having to buy a whole new headlight..... thanx guys

you can either buy a set of white/blue tinted bulbs in the right size, retrofit a set of Series 3 GT-R headlights, buy and fit an aftermarket HID kit or maybe, you could modify your existing housing to take an OEM HID kit from another car.

blue tinted bulbs will display a little less light though (depending on the colour of the bulb that you choose.. the more blue/purple.. the more you loose), S3 GTR headlights will probably be hard to find and $$$, aftermarket HID kits and retrofitting another manufacturers HID wouldn't necessarily be road legal

of course there are other advantages of HID over old lights.. like the sharp cut off.. brighter colour etc.

oh and technically i think the R33 Xenons arn't road legal here as they do not have auto headlight levelling (hence why they are usually "replaced/modified" during compliance, same with R34's)

Hey buddy i have the aftermarket hid's fitted but if you just hate the old yellow looking light. Go to autobarn and get the phillips crystal blue globes (make sure you get the right ones to fit your headlights) and they will give you a nice white light thats heaps better than the yellow. Think they are around $50 for a pair.
