i used to work driving trams and i derailed the tram, ass end came off the tracks as i was entering into the shed at work and didnt know the ass end was off the tracks (as i was going like 6km/h) till the ass end really kicked out and hit the shed wall (Bricks) and hit air compressor line for the tram mechanics in the shed and cleaned up the fire hose reel, and the fence. lol total damage cost was bout $60000 to get tram repaired and painted, new shed wall, air compressor line fire hose reel, new fence and new bitumen and tracks lol ( and yes i still had my job afterwards as the investigated it and found out it was due to the tracks being in poor condition)phew!!! lol

Hahaha wow, that's a shiteload of f*ck-ups.

I'm a trainee surgeon, so if I f**k up, people die. Haven't done it yet, and not planning to. But working 15 hours a day 6 days a week all the time makes you bloody tired.

Floor 1 1.2 mill damage

Floor 2 1 mill and a datcentre off the Air (Cost a major business 65 Million in one day)

Floor 3 200k

total cost for a builder F**up

$69.4 million dollars

maybe not as bad as some of you's have f*#kd up but when i was first starting out in kmart like 4 years ago i was on the registers and i came across my first coles myer credit card payment. payment was for like $1500 but it was on cheque. never done a cheque in the 2 weeks i was there so decided to freestyle it.

cheque went through but not on the guys credit card bill. don't know where the money went. manger found out who done it and got told off :D

second day working as an aircon installer, i was under a roof at a residential house, my foot slipped and half my body fell through the ceiling... people inside the living room screamed... only cost like 300$ to fix...but f**k it was embarrassing :D

I used to work on the production line at a ford supplier a few years back, I was driving the fork lift with 56 territory drive shafts in a stillage, I went round a corner a bit fast and the stillage tipped over and smashed into a wall, just as this happend the plant manager was walking up the walk way showing one of the ford senior managers around.

All 56 shafts were damaged and the plant manager and ford bloke saw it all, you should have seen their faces.

Total cost was like 60k, the stillage was deemed to be designed wrong as there was nothing preventing it from coming off the forks. Still kept my job and wet on to be good friends with the plant manager LoL.

I reckon i have laughed more at this thread than any for a while.. lol.. The one above takes the cake tho. hahaha

I have simply made a typo before when connecting someones electricity. So instead of putting it in for 05/05/2008 for example, i entered it as 05/05/2080.

Needless to say the customer didnt get connected and spent a weekend without power. He lodged a claim form with the company for losses incurred due to no power. EG: Claim for costs of hiring a hotel for his family, having to buy meals, and spoiled food. Would have cost the company a little bit

I've put a Pick axe through a Gas pipeline in the CBD when i was an apprentice.

I got told the callout would be....

4 fire trucks (minimum) @ $1400 each, i think they carry about 4-6 firefighters,

$50 per 15 mins per firefighter.

The firefighters close off about 3-4 city blocks and evacuate everyone...

at least that's what would have happened, and the gas been turned on..... Phew :P

been driving Volvo a25d articulated haulers for about 2years and on one day .... my luck FRIDAY! at about 3.30 1hour before knock off!

fully loaded heading up a hill started at the base ramp at about 25kph in 4th (not fast but for these things its comfy) as i reached near the top i was in 2nd gear, and as always they swtich depending on rev range like any auto ... down to 1st ... then revs up ...then into 2nd ... back to 1st...

gets bloody annoying so like an auto trans i pushed it into 1st manual ... next things i know .. the computer deciding to put it in Nutural even tho the stick is in 1st...

the force of the truck stopping like that (with out breaks in use) nearly head butted the dash ..

a second later the weight from being fully loaded took over ... and back i go .. at about 10ks towards a edge of a whole which was around 6stories deep,

first reaction as anyone would do hit the breaks ....bad move ... WEIGHT SHIFT!

lifted the cab up, and the way these things are built , are built to safty.. if the body goes over the cabing stays upright, but this worked the other way.

up goes the cab and it twists and slams on its side , there i am covered in dorito's and HPI mags and and a ralph mag that was the best site of the moment the ralph mag.

as i stod up sideways in the cab smacked my head ... and the trucked rolled back an extra 4ft at this stage i shat myself and opened the window and just jumped out of there dazzed.

lucky the engine was ok ... smoky for about 4days cause of the oil that dissapeard into the intercooler i think the mech said .... cosmetic damage $20k, oh did i mention this truck was only 4months old before i got it .... and 3months after that it was in for its first roll over .

still have my job ... since then have gotten a pay rise and still driving the same truck

enjoy the pics :)

    • Just had a look, they don't. Fuelling on the base map is purely alpha-N, and the ignition table is MAP. Remember it's just a base map to get the car moving
    • Hi everyone, I’m Dave from Canberra. Here's a few pics of my 1992 R32 GTST coupe which I imported back in 2006. Only mods so far are HKS Hi-power cat back exhaust, K&N filter, ATC Volanti steering wheel, Pioneer stereo, amp and sub. This was my daily driver up until 2015 and sadly hasn’t been driven at all in the last 5 years due to marriage, work, and kids taking up most of my time and spare cash.As such its in need of a bit of TLC and one of my goals for this year is to get it back to running condition and maybe look into club/historic rego. I’ve joined SAU so I can ask a few questions along the way (although I promise to google Current Problem +SAU beforehand!)
    • From talking to the mx5 guys the NC doesn't actually need bonnet vents like the earlier NA and NB models, due to a better designed cooling system and undertray design There's plenty of them used as street cars and weekend track toys running anywhere from around 170 to 250kw with stock non vented bonnets, I initially was going to get some bonnet vents, but, as they are not actually required, I'll put vents on hold for a while and just monitor temps, though I do need to get something to actually monitor engine oil temps though, coolant temp can be pulled from the OBD2, but the oil gauge in the car is not actual oil temp, it is only a calculation based off coolant temp and RPM ☹️ They do recommend upgrading the radiator, which I have already done with a triple pass, and the only other thing they recommend for a street car is heat management, like I talked about above to protect bits in the engine bay from radiant heat, and to either replace the nearly 20 year old plastic coolant expansion tank, which I have done, or get a aftermarket alloy jobbie for some bling They did also say that if I wanted to track the car on occasion a oil cooler and sump baffle would be required, and as I already have had a sump baffle installed when the engine was out......... I'm going to get a oil cooler with a thermostat....... just in case I do eventually track the car, but probably not, but still maybe...🤪
    • Finally had these painted and fitted and pleased with the result. also managed to source 400R fender badges.
