Just Not Right :s

was washing my car the other day and something about the front of my GTR just didnt look right....

When i took a closer look at the top of the grill/bar i saw this (pic below)

What are the bumps :S

and its all plastic the bar and grill so its original....

but why are these there? looks s**t

Is the grill supposed to sit over the top of them ?

thats what i was thinking... mayb the grill is meant to sit over it eg hook on it.... but i dont know!!

and yer both the grill and bar appear to be genuine

yer im pretty sure the grill has to sit over them so they cant be seen

has anyone removed there grill from there 33gtr? was this on your bar??

yer i was guessing that/ but before i went playing around i8 was hoping someone would say yer they are on the bar for the grill to attach to! cos they have removed the grill or bar and seen them

yer just take the grille off and slide it back in the groove. it sorta clips in the slot. hope that helps

sorry but that doesnt look like a genuine grill...just take it off and see if its made out of plastic

does it matter if it's not genuine? as long as it looks good and fits well, that's all it has to do.

Yer true but i mean if its not genuine and it doesnt fit back over the grooves on the bar...

i dont want those grooves sticking out forever....

now i know they are there it pisses me off seeing them! lol

but yer ill give it a crack over the weekend... ill take it off and see if i can slip the grill over the grooves on the bar

if its not genuine just keep ur eyes open on the forum or ebay always seems to be something going on but expect to pay anywhere from $150-$400 . The fibreglass ones will never fit properly without heaps of work..

i dunno its looks genuine... its fits perfect left to right and on top etc.moves a bit but it may be thats because its not clipped into the grooves.

grrr fingers crossed!

easy way to tell open the bonnet and have a look how its clipped down, if it is clipped down using a plastic push retainer it should be genuine..

bit of a steel actual got it of ebay kinda winged it though it started at $100 and I was the only bidder so I wont it lol...did have a couple of cracks though that got plastic welded cost me $50...
