I'm having a shitty lazey day i have read heaps and done a few searches for key words like eye, saddle, fork etc and i cant find any thing that just answers this question.

This is the email i got in regards to my 97 S1 suspension i wish to purchase.

"Firstly I need to know what rear bottom mount your Stagea has. Is it a saddle mount |_| or eye mount 0.

We have a good seconhand set of Tein HR for $950 with the eye lower rear mount and a set of Tein Super Wagon for $1400 with the saddle lower rear mount.

The Super wagon will be the softer set out of the two, although the HR will still be fine, just a little firmer.

Let me know what you have in the way of lower rear mount and we can go from there."

can any one shed some light for me and also has any one used these before and if so how low can i go and what is the ride like stiff or nice etc....

if u stick ur head under the rear of ur car have a look at where the shocks mount to the hub it will have either 1 of the 2 types that u listed. The saddle or fork type will look like 2 plates of steel welded to the bottem and fitting over the hub. The eye type wont have the plates but will fit in between the hub and the bolt goin through it. hope this helps

yeah the bloke did say second handies were the fork type. but im guessing the super wagons are new. and they are the eye type wich is what i need. now i did read the group buy thread and it just has Sk saying

"Hi Brad, no problems getting the rear Bilsteins with forks (instead of bushes), the price is pretty much the same. I don't know how long I can keep up the Group Buy, it depends on how many people take it up. At least a month I would say judging by the early interest."

but he doesnt say if its for s1 or s2

It's simple, when they are standard;

S1 autos are all bush style, there aren't any S1 manuals except for 260RS's which are fork same as GTR.

S2 autos are all bush style, S2 manuals are fork style as are 260RS's.

Of course when people do conversions, auto to manual, RB25 to RB26 etc they may also change the rear cradle. So if you have a converted S1 or S2 it pays to look first before buying.

Some advice, stay away from second hand Jap stuff that is designed for sedans or coupes, they never suite the waggon style. In fact even the waggon stuff doesn't suite our roads at all.

Cheers

We are currently suffering from out of stock on some springs, some alignment products and some shocks absorbers, which is holding up about 20 deliveries, some for over 6 weeks. So we haven't been taking new orders, it's not fair on the guys who are waiting on their stuff. Springs are gradually arriving, they are made in Europe, so delivery takes time. The bush production is getting back on stream after the amalgamation of the Noltec and Whiteline alignment products, the new combined range is called Whiteline Plus. Some are due this/next week. That leaves us with a few kits that will be waiting on selected Bilstein part numbers. I am on the suppliers case daily as many of the guys are, understandably, getting impatient and they send multiple PM's every day, this fills up the inbox faster than we can reply.

It's a temporary situation caused by a number of unrelated issues, once we are passed that we will take some new orders. The bonus is there are a number of new and improved products that we will be able to include in the various Group Buys.

Cheers

Gary
