BUMP,

Surely there is someone out there that needs to swap the 2door sports car for a luxury 4door sedan.

If anyone knows anything about Celsiors you will know they are a far more quality car then a skyline. Trade up for some class.

I just miss driving a turbo manual :)

Bump

A little bit of info on the enginee.

1UZ-FE: 200kw 360nm 32Valve All Alloy Quad Cam V8, Forged pistons/rods, Fully Blueprinted and balanced, 6bolt mains. Toyota spent 2billon dollars devoloping these engines. They have Errie Smoothness. With the Custom ECU/cams and more air the standed bottoms ends can handle 500kw and 9000rpm no problems.

than why are you wanting to swap for a skyline if it is of lower quality.

Because I own 2 Celsiors.

I want to have one nasty thrash machine, I get sick of constantly cleaning and babyin my car everywhere and with a skyline (unless its a gtr or a 34) i will trash it and give it the old $3 auto wash.

Id rather a manual 1jz soarer or a supra. But manual soarers are rare and supra is out of my price range.

Not saying skyline is a crap car, there is a reason why i want one (fun2 drive/wheel spin is fun and rb's sound sweet) but a celsior in regards to cruising refinement is years ahead that is why I made that comment. If you have ever had to pull one of these cars apart you will appreciate the construction.

2 totaly differant cars that cant be compared (like apples and oranges) but in general workmanship and quallity Celsior is better but in saying that it did cost more brand new.

whats wrong with this guy skylines were built for a reason not luxury so yeah of coarse celsior built better better air seats whatever all that crap weights extra we love our lines not for there luxury but for their reliability and speed and presion this guy sholud buy a fully charade and shut up thrash that not a skyline its worth more than a $3 wash (tear) for this guys cars

thats a nice looking car if my line was a manual and you was closer i would swap i have a feeling my next car will be something with a touch more luxuary than a skyline

2SHIFTY:

LOL nothing is wrong with me thanks, well I hope hahaha ;)

All I was saying that its a higher quality car for the same price. I didnt say its a better car. I think skylines are a great car and yes they are built for a purpose (like i said earlyer its like comparing apples and oranges). But I just want a more practical daily car, of corse it will still get care and attention im very strict on engine matenence and polishing/waxing, but I wont be having to stress if my leather is sitting in the sun or if im going to scatch my rims if i take a corner to eager, wont have to stress out about using the local washs (are you telling me all skyline owners dont use car washs  I dont like them because they leave small scratches) with a car like this being a daly driver im more concered about keeping the engine tiptop and the interior/exterior nice and tidy as oposed to obsesivly clean weekend cruiser besides ive got another Celsior for that so I will have the best of both worlds with now a car thats more fun to drive that doesnt mind reving the shit out of it (thrashing). I think a skyline is a great mix between looks/performance/price, I bet you give it to ur skyline every now and then, I want a gtst its what they are made for performance and fun on a budget not like the monster track eating weapon like a gtr. One day I hope to have a R32 GTR that would be the ultimate, but right now I dont think im ready for the king, but mean time a "fully" (???) Charade wont do but if you goto sell your for cheap I might consider it for a bushbasher :(

mid life crisis:

Yea mate they are definetly a great car I would recomend on to anyone who wants a great luxury car on a budget that still gets looks from young and old all the time and be the envy from much more expensive later model luxury car owners. Cant go past them if you just wanna cruise around with a car load of mates checking out the scencery I reakon,.

After all that im glad to annouce the Celsior is sold Pending Payment.

Thanks.

LOL I thought it was a great comeback aswell.

Can't decide between Turbo Soarer and Skyline.

And if its a Skyline, a 32 or a 33. Im thinking a 32 will have more chuckability due to being smaller.

Opinions welcome.

Hmmmm this is what im thinking tho.

Can a r32 get into the mid 13sec 1/4 mile bracket with the same basic mods a soarer would need to do so.

front mount, exhaust, more boost, stock turbos/ecu/blah blah.

The reason im thinking soarer is you can get them for under 6grand easy. Spend 2grand on mods tops. and for 8grand you got a pretty quick car.

What kind of budget/mods approxmently would i be looking at to make a R32 do mid 13's?

Sorry for the newbie questions, Im more of a cams and compression kind guy, never played with boost.

Hey mate are you thinking of selling the rims? How much are you after?

Sorry matey not willing to seperate, even if I did my car would then have no wheels LOL,

Took me forever to import these rims and find the correct off sets. Turns the Celsior from grandpa's car into instant head turner. Im yet to see another set of rims that match these cars as well as these do.

    • Sadly I can confirm if you are actually seeking to drift, you will quite easily spin up one wheel. Even if you're going in a straight line. I am not entirely sure of the metrics/terminology here but there's only a certain amount that the helical will actually spin both wheels. I've seen it on video with my own car where two lines of smoke switch over to just one after you really get in to it. Unlike with a clutch diff where you can keep your foot planted until the car regains grip, in my experience with the helical you want to be utilizing traction control allowing LIMITED slip or lifting (partially) when you start to spin up both tyres with a Nissan helical. Which makes them pretty sub optimal for drifting duty. That said... this is probably a helical on numbers alone. Just put the Kazz in
    • Let's just fix the problem by f**king the rest of the gearbox.
    • Unlikely, as per Greg's post. This is not helical diff behaviour unless one wheel is up off the ground. Shimming what? You don't "shim" a mechanical LSD. Probably not in the sense that you have heard of people "shimming" a diff. And the process that Nissan f**kwits call "shimming" a diff involves super-preloading a VLSD cartridge against the side of the diff to create a friction/wear point (in a place that it wasn't supposed to have one) to make the sloppy, useless, viscous diff into a hybrid viscous/mech abortion. In case it isn't clear, I consider the process to be stupid. Nike.
    • How much does the shifter move when the car is in gear with the engine off? If it is more than about 1cm you need to replace your shifter bush. Your shifts will just get crunchier, not faster, with a short shifter unless you also rebuild the whole box
