yeah sounds a bit too high, my 34 with exhuast, fmic, ~9psi, pod makes 185rwkw, so id guess on 11psi ish youd be at 185rwkw-190rwkw. how have you achieved that boost increase?

Jeff at turbo tune said something on the lines of the stock solenoid has a high and low setting. Mine started at 6 psi and then made its way up to around 11.5. When I get the dyno sheet scanned you'll see where the boost increase will be.

auto salon was dead on actually. i had just got my car dyno tuned at boost worx a week prior and it made 2kws more than it had been tuned for.

anywho.. i dont find it hard to believe 200. i mean 11.5 is lot of boost for a rb25.

The Autosalon dyno was the Graham West dyno, yeah?

correct cronic.

Zak, yeah you've got a real gem of a 33 there, seems your fmic and exhuast is working very nicely with your engine.

And Steve, i was just asking how he achieved the boost increase, a jump to 11.5psi from just minor mods isn't seen too often.

yeah i edited that, it came out completely wrong lol. 6psi sounds like a fair gain in boost, i wouldn't mind having mine looked at. Guess i'd start with hi flow/no cat and removing the restrictor.

201 is a too me sounds about right.

i made 205 with the same sorta mods when i had me ebc fitted and set at 11 psi...

got alot more now though :P :P

he wont be able to add it now Dale, you have 10 mins to edit your post unfortunately. Has a nice increase at 150kw's, Jumps to 170!

I think you'll find that that is AFR related. the factory maps are a bit all over the place as they are only tested at certain points in the rev range not over the whole range. So at the points were they are tested they have good emission's and every where else it's tuned for safe power.

Zac has an SAFC II in the car but it hasn't been played with at this stage and has 0 correction factor at every point so when he takes it to Jeff next the AFR's will be more constant and there will be a bit more power (~10kw).

P.S. thanks for letting me know about the editing time, I never could figure out why you could edit your post some time but not others. On NS where I do most of my posting you can edit it any time. I guess it pays to be a post whore on more than one forum.

wheres the Dyno settings at the bottom Dale

i thought it was more like 30mins editing either way we need editing rights

I'm not sure where the info is, I just checked the printout and it's not on there.

But I also looked at the printouts for my car that were done on the same dyno and there aren't on there so it might be the way TT have there printouts setup. I would say the the temp are correct because every time I have seen Jeff drive a car on the dyno the first thing he does is enter the humidity and temp from the weather station they have setup next to the dyno.

Ive been in and driven IZZMO 33's car and it feels very much like 200+rwkw with minimal mods aswell..very impressive.

to me that dyno is reading a wee bit too high

i had my car dynoed at Willall Racing and they use a mainline dyno

with a front mount, boost increase to 9psi, full zorst, splitfire coilpacks, pod....my car made 188.7 rwkw on a reasonably warm day

so from the mods that you are saying you have i would expect the same sort of power that my car has pulled out

plus no boost controller and ur hitting 11.5psi....umm have you had that reading out off a boost gague or from the stock gauge.

My R31 with series 1 rb25det and my r33 with series 2 rb25det both made 203rwkw and 205rwkw with 10psi, cooler and exhaust on a few different dyno's give or take 3-5kw

You WOULD have about 200rwkw if there was an aftermarket computer or your ecu has been remapped........

not necessary mate. Every car is different.

over 30 posts and no one has mentioned ramp rates.

how much brake against the rollers.........you need to compare apples for apples

God dam it pete, you beat me to it! hehehe

People dont realise that its up to the dyno operator to choose the specific ramp rate that the dyno produces...this alters your power output...usually a standard ramp rate for these things is around 150.

So many people are quick to assume every car is the same and will make simular power with simular mods. Every car is different. So many variables come into play when it comes to output on a dyno...remember people its just a number.

oh and i forgot to mention we've had plenty of 33's on the dyno at Aussies and alot of them make good power (190-200rwkw) with basic mods yet others make average power (160-180rwkw) with simular mods...SO many variables. Believe it or not other cars have had a much harsher life than others.

and some over 300rwkw Ryan...lol

    • Ok awesome! I’m not running a aac/iacv (although I do have the r34 iacv but I’m running the heater core loop. I’m running the chase bays booster delete so In that case would I need to block off those posts? So at the moment I need to run from one of the posts to the fpr and then a separate post to the boost controller then to the wastegate? Also I’m assuming that each port has a specific use like the first one farthest to the left would be (for example) manifold to fpr and then second would be to boost controller?
    • I was just going through this on Neil's car (33 gtst). Assuming you are using standard AAC and Cold start valves, you need Post Turbo Pre throttle to Boost Controller (if you have one) then to Turbo Wastegate Pre throttle to AAC input AAC input T piece to Cold start input Cold start output to plenum post throttle AAC Output to plenum post throttle AAC Output to brake booster (needs a 1 way valve) Plenum post throttle to Fuel Pressure Regulator Plenum post throttle to Blow off valve signal Plenum post throttle to Boost controller input (if you have one)
    • I’m trying to figure out the purpose of these fittings. Assuming they’re for coolant but not sure where the lead to. I know the bigger one on the right (which isn’t filled) is the brake booster. If anyone has a photo of a diagram of this intake or has a set of instructions it’d be greatly appreciated
    • How much is that r32? Is that $170k or $1.7m
    • Ahhh! My silly brain was thinking Nissan started selling them straight away, but they waited w or three years didn't they?   Maybe Duncan should build an R35 race car over the V37... There's a cheap yellow one on car sales Duncan, would only need your splash of purple added...
