Adj. Exhaust Cam Gear Benefits

I have searched and found that retarding the exhaust cam by 4 degrees can give as much as 30rwkw but... how much does this affect fuel economy..? anyone know for sure? Also what is involved in putting one on?

every engine is different. every deg of retard i moved my ex gear i would lose 20hp at the rears.

it will basically move the whole powerband... so it will effect response as much as top end power.

its a win/lose setup

i use mine to have a more responsive setup...

i run a HKS 2835 pro s and see 265rwkw, but have full boost by 3500 where as people without ex cams are seeing as much as 285rwkw on a regular basis but are lookin more like 4500
