That's right! I hate the monster tacho's on rubbish cars. Next thing should be altezza lights on Lancers! And then Evo bodykits on Lancers! Ah!

And then, Betty Boop seat covers. They're horrible. Disgusting.

It was exactly what the cops response was.

He was like these are hoon cars.....i was wtf check my record d**k head

its so funny how people are very quick to stereotype us import drivers...they cant distinguish from hoons that have imports to enthusiasts of imports

I can't see the point of fitting a tacho to a car that already has one :P

It's because it adds 10rwkw! Jeez, didn't you know that?

There's no point in arguing or complaining about getting defected because the simple fact is you were defected because your car was not roadworthy. The cop's just doing his job don't hate the police.

ohh i have coped it on the chin and now almost ready for regency

but my point was that just coz they were having a bad night i got dealt with harshly

i have been driving my car for the last 2 years and been pulled over numerously and never even recieved a warning for anything

had mine 3 yrs now never been pulled over touch wood . had the evill eye from a few coppers tho . hoons eh i kinda like been classed as a hoon at 49 yrs old lol makes me feel 17 all over again

The cop's just doing his job don't hate the police.

smh, is the cop really doing his job??? in sa the number of violent assults has almost doubled, yet the number of speeding fines and defects issued has doubled......coincident, i think not!lol

Fair enough to copping it on the chin. I definitely agree that it comes down to how bad the officer's feeling at the time when he goes to defect you.

So what you're saying is police are bashing people and then fining them for speeding? Lol... kidding.

Police can't be everywhere. I know that if they could there would be 10x the amount of police but the government doesn't allocate that much money. All I'm saying is you can't blame the individual copper for defecting you.

:)

2. SMH

The internet acronym for the words 'shake my head'. Usually used when disappointed in someone/something.

Vincent: So how was prom?

Peter: It was great!

Vincent: You dance with alotta girls?

Peter: No. Just went 'meow meow meow' the whole time.

Vincent: SMH

OHHHHH, well thanks to Vincent and Peter, i understand what smh means.

Yeah Vu, I hate those type of hoodies!! They're cheap to buy, look cheap, and have stupid pics on them (like the dope plant).

And 13 year olds are wearing this crap! Well, it's the new Dada/Phat Farm/Ruff Ryder/Snoop Dogg clothing phase I think!! Remember when Dada and Wu-Tang were the 'in thing'?! Hahaha

Ok guys lets all relax, we don't need another "I hate everything" thread.

Lets just all agree we hate:

* Being defected

* Emo's

* Not having a licence

* Damo R34's chromies at Autosalon :)

* Suzuki Swift's

* Cheap hoodies

* and lancer's with clear tail lights.

I dont drive like a hoon. I dont even 'cruise' on the weekends much.

Was just in the glenelg area after a game of SAFL and was unclucky.

told my 34 came out with 15s. wtf.

random drug n alcohol test. yeah sure.

    • Breather for it. If it's anything like the GTRs it should run up to the top of a bellhousing bolt.
    • What basics? With these OBD1 ECUs it's not like the ECU will give you any real clues, it's not really doing any sanity checking of sensors/sensor data. My experience is actually a lot of sensors tend to be the source of the issue first and foremost, and checking everything gives you a direction to investigate. MAF/O2/STFT/LTFT should all kind of make sense. You can try little tricks of the trade like tapping the MAFs to see if it triggers a stumble, things like that. But once you've done a compression test knowing whether you have an air leak or fuel delivery problem is kind of hard to narrow down without sensor data. And you don't really know if all your sensors are making sense unless you can interrogate the ECU directly about what it's seeing for sensor data.
    • Absolutely this. Yes, except not vacuum hose. Something oil/fuel safe is a better idea.
    • Like a Stagea, but not as cool! Hope you have enough garage space for this, or is something going to leave to make way for it?
    • The new project has arrived. I have wanted one of these for such a long time, well before that meathead Clarkson drove one in Africa. I really wanted an E34 but I have some medical issues that mean I *really* can't bump my head and the lack of airbags in the E34 made it just too big of a risk.  I don't know why I've always liked these older touring BMW's to be honest, but man I love this car. She's been pretty well maintained for her 243k's with what appears to be only a single oil leak at the oil filter housing gasket. It has a bunch of updates including later model bumper and headlights, 7 series billion-way adjustable seats and it came with a few spares and another set of wheels with legal tyres. I got a unregistered car permit from the RTA and drove it back from Canberra on Saturday.                   First cab off the rank is cleaning it up for blue slip. I dont know how picky they'll be but I figured I'd clean the headlights, fix the oil filter housing gasket, replace the speed sensors (throwing errors) and swap the OE wheels (the M Sport wheels have a big chunk out of one of the tyres.) I also need to replace all 6 gas struts - 2 for bonnet, 2 for hatch and 2 for hatch glass. The car tries to eat me whenever i open any of these. My plan for this car; Ultimately, this is a budget car. I can't afford to throw lots at it and its because I have another car that I got this, if something breaks its no big deal. I will just maintain and repair it really. But eventually I want to do a manual conversion. It actually looks pretty straight forward for E39's and the trickiest part will be sourcing the parts.  I do need to replace some suspension arms or bushes because wow, she's a floaty old girl. She's also fantastically slow. Like really, really slow. When pulling back out on to the freeway on Sat after a quick pull over I needed to wait until no cars were visible before going.  Oh, and the guy I bought it from had a gorgeous R31 GTS-X in the garage.
