Hi

Ive just replace my strut cartridges on a 89 Skyline. I believe I havent lined up the upper plate on the spring properly and it is making noise when turning. Is there a mark or a method to line these up properly. I see that they are offset and think I have them in wrong. I shoulda bloody marked it before they came out. Any help would be appreciated. I'll be sitting here hoping someone can help !!!

Thanks

PJ

if you have spring compressors, you should be able to compressor the springs, undo the top bolt and move the top plate into position? i think i just aligned mine by sight? not sure if this is what you're suppose to do

my first one i put together was way out, and i just used some force and twisted it in. now i know this isn't right but my point is that it never made a noise while turning

Thanks for your reply. Ive got the compressors and everything is ready to turn. I just thought there was a method of lining up the plate in the right direction. Since it is offset you can put it on in the wrong spot which can affect how the spring is located.

Thanks PJ
