Japan In December-january

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I'm off to japan again soon,(9th time) and im sick of universal studio's, mos burger, mister donut, etc etc lol (not really) but, can anyone please give me somethings to do in places such as Tokyo,Kawasaki city,Hiroshima,Kobe,Osaka, I know my way around so I'm confident with the train lines.

Can anyone please give me some good car shops, car shows, any drifting happening at this time of year?

These places can be basically anywhere that JR(japan rail) cover due to im buying another Rail Pass, so local, shin-Kansan lines would be great

Thanks.

Hi Justin,

Can you hire a car just for 1 day - to drive a stretch of tarmac that's the equal of but different to Stelvio Pass and Macquarie Pass?

It's called IROHAZAKA north of Tokyo on the way to Nikko. :):D:D

80 bends, mostly hairpins of adrenalin rush on a one-way road down into the valley and I don't know how many bends out of there!

More buzz doing that than any spectator car show... but don't knock back the next few suggestions in the following posts eh?

Tez

PS. Hire a car that

i) can take the twisties and

ii) has a gps - even the gps can go crazy I reckon and tell you to do a U-Turn after a hairpin

if your heading out to irohazaka u mite aswell go strait through to ebisu aswell

plus on the way theres heaps of small circuts. and if ya got time akagisan

all the obvious places like the cities, fujisan, disneyland, nismo factory omori

but call up b4hand to make sure they got cars there (when i went they had none  )

nissan gallery in ginza test drive some cars.

akihabara, roppongi, ueno (but im sure u know these places)
