Kahli he means that making your door handle electric is not allowed, and ones the cops find out that you did it, then they're gonna ram you up the ass in a metaphorical sense (hence the lube reference).

I was watching discovery channel one time about making a car bullet proof/hijack proof/bomb proof etc etc.

They had like self sealing fuel tank, self sealing tires, bullet proof glass/doors, all this crazy stuff and they also made the door handles shock whoever tried to open them when the car is running/driving/whatever.

But of course, this was a government vehicle.

Just get a quick release steering wheel, once they see there is no wheel, would they even bother trying to get in? But I suppose these are defectable...

Shame all those things add a lot of weight and reduce the amount of fuel you can fit in the tank.

bright as fark alarm indicator on the dash, visible club lock, park it in front of another car if you dont have a garage to put it in, (additionally, park the drivers door real close to a wall and hop out the passenger side, then park another car behind it), remove fuel pump and ignition relays.

Stupid Bas*ards!

They will get whats coming to them just wait..

I remember not too long ago my cousin who has an R33 GT-R, had his car attemted to be stolen, although he has an alarm system which alerts his keys aswell or the remote on the keys.

These two as* holes where trying to brake into it in whilst it was in his garage.

My cousin caught them red handed and made them wait in his garage with a little persuasion from a little something...

whilst he got on the phone and lets just say he didn't call the cops to come over.

A few hours later they left and sure as hell were never gonna attempt to steal his car again, for that matter i dont think they will steal any car after what happened to them lmao.. Try and imagine.. haha

Basic aim of this is car thieves know how precious a persons car is to them and when they attempt to do things like that they should be dealt with in a way not involving the police..

hmm :bunny: well

Thieving = breaking the law

Police = enforce the law

i think police should really deal with them? Coz now your cousin has also broken the law, im guessing by

-unlawful detainment

-assault

etc.

I see your point, but i dont think being a macho man and beating the crap out of some deadbeat means your car isnt going to get touched again, i'd rather keep a clean record and not have cops see an assault charge when they pull me over and check my license.

I hate the fact you gotta do that kinda stuff just to keep your car safe.

I can't enjoy anything anymore while I'm out. All I think about is if someones either stealing it or reversed into it. I remember the first day I got it registered, I came back home and there were four sctratches from someone hitting troleys n things into it.

damo, id like to see you keep your calm if you busted someone red handed tryin to break into

the 34 :bunny:

bye the time the popo finish there doughnut and waddle there ass to your place,.

your car will be in a million peices and cheap parts will be advertised in ns.com :)

i dont condone nor support actions like that, but unfortunately, as has been said, the police rarely if ever do anything about people damaging and stealing peoples cars, so they really arent a great option to call upon.

you can pick a cop hater a mile away, i love how no one ever says anything about good cops, but theres a 20 page discussion if a thread comes up about a cop being an ass. A cop is just the first step, if they get caught, they go before a magistrate, but you don't hear anyone bagging out magistrates for their poor sentences. I agree that the police are unfair at times, ill be the first to admit that. And effort is rarely shown at the scene of an attempted car theft, such as not taking prints or following up. The sad thing is, there are SOOOO many car jackings/ attempted thefts in Adelaide, if the police spent all their time tracking them all down, people would whinge about police not out on the beat in public area, or not arresting real criminals.

Oh and Craig, you have seen me, if i caught someone trying to steal my car, id lose the fight, so why bother. I try my very hardest to keep my car out of situations where it could be stolen, like at home, my car is alarmed and immobilised in front of my mums astra, which is in front of a locked roller door, with my dads toyota hilux behind it, and a big f**k off heavy double locked sliding gate out the front.

my 9 yen.

your size doesnt even come into it in a situation like that though, you walk into that, and you have no idea what they could be carrying. its not impossible that one or more of who ever is trying to jack your car has a gun, a knife, or is otherwise armed, smartest thing to do is simply call the police.

i should probably rephrase my previous post aswell, im not saying that its all down to the police, but when nothings happening and you can sit around and think, the lack of action taken is very disappointing, and it makes the idea of vigilantism appealing. even if there are too many car jackings and thefts to keep track of on a day to day basis.

i think the magistrate are very fair and reasnoble :bunny:, its the laws behind them that need to be changed

im gonna stick by street justice cause i know the police wont do anything..........even if they manage to catch the people its a slap on the wrist. so id rather slap em around a lil and send them on there way :)

lol Rhys i hope you are joking about the magistrate comment, they are the ones letting off these repeat offenders with warnings, following the news lately theres only been 1 story about a magistrate who handed out a fair decision.

    • Good tips, will get on those tomorrow. When doing the maintenance I did move a few of those connectors around, and things that are old tend to not like moving around. (Like me).
    • Don't try it. It will be shit. Better chance of damaging the engine than gaining any knowledge about the old one. Maybe, but unlikely, especially if the O2 sensor is working. You can use NissDataScan to look at the stock ECU.   Cleaning the AFM is seldom necessary and seldom helps. The R35 coil & loom conversion should eliminate dud coils or plugs. But as you still have misses - look to the plug where the coil loom connects to the engine loom, and the CAS plug. Need quality connections there. Also look to injector plugs. And the AFM plug while you're at it. Also look to whether your injectors are clean and flowing evenly. Get them out and onto a testbench.
    • Good to know, I feel like I am in for a rollercoaster ride that looks like a sine wave.

    • Hey folks. I've been lurking and browsing the forum for a while, since I got into my head that I wanted a skyline. Having purchased an overpriced completely stock GTT, (only "mods" it has is HKS pod filter and catback) now that it became legal in the US, it was all glorious and sututu noises here and there. But then I wanted to do things right and went to do basic maintenance. After all the fluids, filters done, I did the spark plugs, that's when the problems started.. First the car started spluttering at around 4.5k RPM. Which I gapped down the new plugs and that solved the sputter there, but the car now always misfires at idle with pops when lifting off and shifting 2nd to 3rd. Similar to the issues in this recent thread. I've been banging my head against the wall, reading the threads here and trying suggestions for a couple months now, so decided to start this one to explain exactly what I tried and what is going on. The symptoms of the issue: Idle and low revs misfiring intermittently. You can hear the exhaust tone change and the shakes on the shifter knob. It happens frequently, but doesn't seem to have a rhythm to it. Pops when backing off throttle. It pops and or burbles almost feels like it spits fire when it pops. (Happens mostly in 3rd gear at around 2k RPM). When under load and after 6k RPM, it also pops when shifting from 2nd to 3rd. There's a ticking noise at around 2k RPM in 2nd gear going downhill, seems unrelated though but I am out of educated and downright dumb guesses. Not noticeable lack of power when putting the car into load. The attempted diagnosis and solutions: Unplugging coils when the car is running This did nothing to change the idling and tone shift for every cylinder. Checking the exhaust headers with thermometer They all are within what I'd say it is margin of error of the laser thermometer New spark plugs Tossed two new sets, copper, iridium and using the old ones, still misfiring, even re gapped to 0.8mm, still same thing. MAF cleaned with the "specific" spray cleaner No changes in the issues what so ever. Brand new loom and r35 coil conversion (was going to add the r35 coils anyway) car runs arguably better, still misfires, but seems like does less frequently. Placebo? Code 21 now being thrown, thanks nissan gods. Removed the CAS to check the shaft for play or anything. CAS seems all fine, nothing that indicates any issue, visually speaking. Things to attempted next: Ordered a new MAF (chinesium from Amazon, to be able to return regardless of result). Fuel with proper gas, maybe it is this California water that they sell as gas that is to blame? Plugin the link ECU and check the info using the built in base map. Go back to BMW and eat my rob bearing breakfast without milky oil mixture.   Do any of you have experienced anything like this or have any suggestion?
