Rev Limit

hi guys

just got my first R32 gts25 with a RB25DE series one in it.

just wondering what the rev limit is for it and what people after mods have had them rev out to. as the tacho says 6500rpm but i thought it was 7500rpm.

i will be putting the 3L bottom end on it to by the way.

mines bounces at 7000 if that is any help

mine hits 7k on the dot, my bros is about 7200rpm

2.5ltr's indicate the redline at 6,500 I believe and 2.0ltr have it at 7,000. Solid red on the tacho starts 500rpm past that. As for rev limiters, the last 2.5 I drove cut at about 6,800, definatly below 7k. Both my RB20DE's have no limit at all, rallycar will see 9,000rpm if I'm not careful.

Raises the question, how accurate do you think the factory tacho is?

My Series 1 R33 (N/A) bounces at 6850 (from my eManage->laptop), but the tacho is showing about 7000...

if your putting a stock 3l bottom end on remember you cant rev it as hard due to the increased load on the conrods because of the longer stroke. Whats with you lads and bouncing off the limter so not a good idea lol
