Thanks in advance for any advice....

I intend to keep the car looking stock - including the audio. May upgrade speakers if necessary via advice from here. :(

The CD unit accepts a CD but the disk just sits there. Sometimes when I press 'Play', the red light comes on to say that it's trying to play - otherwise it sits there.

The disk will 'Eject' without any trouble.

Q. So before I take it to an auto-elec, is this unit worth repairing?

I'm in the lower Blue Mtns Sydney if anyone can fix it for $$; or I can bring the car down.

Cheers,

Tez

autoelec won't have a clue!

what is the make/model of the OE radio. should be a clarion of sorts.

Thanks for the reply Chris...

There's nothing indicated on the OE Radio/Cassette. But underneath the CD Display there's the code "CV704"

Otherwise, it just has "NISSAN" marked on it.

Regards,

tez
