Tyres? Advice Pls

Need 2 new rear tyres to keep those friendly law enforcement officers at bay;

Nankang NS2's 255/40/17 - $170 each fitted and balanced - Brisbane mobile tyres

Maxxis 255/40/17 MA-Z4S - $239 each fitted and balanced - Bob Jane Tmart

I have the maxxis ones at the moment, never heard of nankangs. Question being... are nankangs any good or is it worth paying extra for the maxxis? Or is there somewhere else I should be out?

ps. not really sure maxxis's are better than nankangs but yeah IMO

as already said neither of them are that good IMO

Federals would be better than both those IMO

Nangkangs and Maxxis are a cheap everyday driving tyre which are not the greatest but will do the job if you are a sedate driver. If you plan on modding ur car HP wise, then try the Federals or even the Falken FK452. Both should be under the $300 mark each for those sizes and should keep you sufficiently safe on the road.

Jax Quickfit at Rocklea is the guy I go through, he gets his supply from Neta (who won't sell straight to individuals) always had the 595 RS's fkn brill tyre, just don't go hoofing it til their warm. Sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide!

+1 for Federals you want cheap and good. for something top of the line.

Dunlop SportMaxx i think they are called....well worth the money for the grip. My next tyre will be those or semi slicks.

Go to the trader section and look at "Access Autoworks" - Federal Tyre Deal....Scored some really good tyres there bro...

Federal 595's there fairly priced and grip better than big $$ stuff

ive used for ages

ill be swapping to them next month on my new car

Dont forget tempe tyres in sydney. I got my 275/35 18's sent up for about $70 each cheaper than my mates dad who owns a tyre shop can but them for.

BTW, as a defensive driving instructor we tell everyone to buy the best tyres you can afford. Best doesn't mean most expensive either.

I mean I love the dunlop SP Sport Maxx, but they arent cheap, and they don't last all that long even with my fairly sedate driving. So wear needs to be an issue to think about. On the cefiro it isnt, the Jetta it will be.

just went to neta tyre and auto, 87 toombul road northgate, and got federals 255/40/17 fitted for 190 each and a full align for $65, awesome place highly reccommend
