I would like a really clean photo of the side badge off the R35. Straight on shot.

Bug> What bug???

Reckon you could magic that away too, bruv?

with the right money.. anything is possible...

Money cant get past the law for the common citizen...

Im 100% sure it was a Personal Import.

There is no other way.

Makes sense...the cars been here in Tokyo for over a year now...i was at the Tokyo motorshow for the launch...

I can 1,000,000% assure you it is not a personal import (number one fact it is a 2008 build, number 2 fact you have to own the car in Jp for over a year {or is it 2 years now?}). The import has been approved by RCVS and there are only 1 or 2 workshops in Aus that can bring in 25 each. All of the plates have already been allocated as far as I know, but for some reason this plate was issued quicker than the others, as bureaucratic red tape is holding issue of plates up. There are probably cars sitting in workshops with all the compliance work already done, just waiting for the green plate.

RVCS approval (click)

Under the RCVS approval you HAVE to buy the car direct from Nissan Jp (so anyone who brought one in prior to the ruling cannot comply it) and the car has to be brand spanking new (under 20 kilometres). International Motor Group had the compliance done by GT Compliance on this one, and they are well known for getting things done first.

You can buy one from these guys (click)

There is someone hocking complied ones on Car Sales, but the price is too cheap - so not sure what that is all about.

R35GTRs for sale

edit regarding this comment :

Mate, have some common sense - anyone who is anyone knows the R35GTR was released December 6 2007 .... whether they were 'launched' at the motor show or not.

lol, I'm 100% sure you are 100% wrong. This may shock you, but things happen in the world you may not know about. That car was imported eariler this year to sydney as a test car. It was complied and registered in Sydney and then sold to a buyer in adelaide. it is not a personal import so I don't know how you got to be 100% sure of that...

Well come on then - go out there are try to bring in for yourself an R35 without going by the regulations.

Youre regular enough surely?

While I wasn't specifically talking about car importation (although I have no doubt that you could do it with enough cash and knowing the right people) the simple fact of the matter is that your comment "Money cant get past the law for the common citizen..." is proven wrong every week, inside (and out of) our courtrooms

...and anyway it appears that the Baron has cleared up the matter.

I was so hoping this thread was just going to go away quietly...
