Rb20e To Rb20det Or Rb25de Neo Swap Questions

I currently have a rb20e in my R33. What can I say I picked the car up for only $1,200 us dollars here in Japan. Well I came across a guy who is selling a rb20det for only $150 OBO with no harness or ecu. So I was wondering if the wiring harness for the RB20e would work for the rb20det or is the wiring harness's completely different? I already know for sure I would have to pick a r32 rb20 ecu. Another thing is I also found a RB25de neo with harness and ecu for $200 firm, but wasn't sure if the rb20 trans would work on the rb25 neo. So what should I swap to? If I was to get the rb25de, if I was to boost it, could I use the rb25de neo ecu? Any help would be appericated.

You would be better off with the RB20det, easier fit up and the harness cant be that different. the rb20 gearbox doesnt fit the Neo without some mods.

is the transmission bolt pattern different on the rb25neo to where the rb20 would not bolt up? what kind of mods would I have to do in order to use the rb20 trans on the rb25 neo? thanks for the help.

I think I got my wires crossed on the gearbox, it seems it does bolt up and I got confused with puting a rb20 box in a 33 because, you have to change the tailshaft yoke to suit, and the crossmembers don't line up and speedos are different.

So you could possibly do it.
