Hey guys,

Just got done for speeding, $700 and 5 demerit points. Won't go into details, but it is my fault and I deserve it.

However, my mate says that if you were to lose 4 demerit points or more at one time while on your Ps, you lose your license for so long. Does anyone know if this is correct? I couldnt find any details on the DPI website. Sounds like something the government would do, another stupid law.

Lets hope he's wrong!

Cheers

Rhys

Silly silly boy Rhys....

did the fines change in price?

i think 2 years ago i did 123km/h on karrinyup road which is a 70km/h zone and all i got was 350$ fine and 6 demerits. Took them 6 months to call me and give me the fine.

Yeah, anything over 20kph over the fines have risen, cause of the hoon law

Fines rose the whole way, not just 20 over, and it's not cause of the hoon law...

0-9 $75 instead of 50, still no points.

10-19 $150 2 points instead of $100 and 1

etc etc

45+ hoonlaw.

Nah, I meant recently it went up again, but you were right it wasn't cause of the hoon law,

"Penalties for speeding have increased in line with the known risk of crashing from this type of behaviour. Penalties have increased for drivers who continue to speed on the State’s roads by more than 20 km/h. Other speeding penalties remain unchanged."

I thought it was because the.price of donuts and strippers had risen??

And Marko, that wasn't actually a joke. I was honestly waiting for you to do the whole father lecture thing because I didn't listen to your warnings. Still, it's been done and I hope I learn from it.
