R33 Fuel Gauge Problem

Hey all,

My R33 has recently come across a problem that the fuel gauge isn't actually showing how much fuel is remaining in the tank.  A friend says this is a common problem, but couldn't give me any more detail than that.

Can anyone give me some insight as to whether the common problem is an issue in the sender unit or the gauge cluster unit itself?  or if it's the floaty bubble in the tank itself.  Was told by a mate it was probably the dash cluster unit because the needle is just drooping, but wondering if anyone else might have an insight into what it could be.

Id check fuel level sender in yourl tank first

It might be that the sender has fallen off the brackets and is just floating around in the petrol. Nothing a few cable ties cant fix.
